Project Modeling
A dielectric sphere is frequently used to test a FDTD code for the bistatic RCS calculation since its RCS can be calculated by using analytical way (Mie Series). Both the plane wave excitation and Huygens’ box are designed based on the simulation area (in or out and how many cells from it). Here, we guide the user how to set those options in the GEMS designer. |

Project Simulation
The simulation procedure is a rather easy task in Windows system. The user follows the basic steps described in the GEMS manual to finish the GESM simulation. |

Result Visualization and Processing
The bistatic RCS is a direct output of GEMS solver. Therefore, bistatic RCS of dielectric sphere can be plotted by double-click on the RCS option in the result tree. |
