GEMS Simulator

 (a) GEMS PC version for a single computer (support multiple cores and processors). The user can install          GEMS software on their own computer (desktop or laptop), or we offer the combination of GEMS software        and computer (quad core processor). This combination ensure the GEMS can reach the best        performance at the lowest cost. This system may be 3.8 times faster than your solo core PC.

(b) GEMS cluster version for PC cluster or high performance cluster (support Windows and Linux operating        systems). The user can install GEMS software on their own cluster (Intel or AMD processor, Linux or        Windows operating system, PBS or SGE management software). Or, we provide a free linux operating        system and cluster magnament software. We also offer the system solution to significantly improve your        cluster performance. Small investiment can speed up the simulation 50 times for the same processors        and same number of processors.

GEMS Workstation

 GEMS workstation integrates one quad core computer with 8GB memory and GEMS PC version to provide our customers a turnkey system. Optimized hardware allows the users to reach the best system performance at the low cost. Compared to your solo core computer, GEMS workstation will speed up the simulation up to 3.8 times. The users can select either the Windows or Linux operating system.

GEMS PC Cluster

  GEMS PC cluster includes 4 nodes which is based on regular PC to build an economic cluster and can   be almost 4 times faster than a single PC and solve 4 times larger probelms than a single PC. Basic model includes 4 quad core processors and 16GB memory, which only costs several thousands of USdollars. The computers in the cluster are regular PCs, and you can use them as a regular PCs when you do not use them for GEMS simulation. In addition, you can install any other software in GEMS PC cluster. You can select to install Windows or Linux operating system in the GEMS PC cluster.

GEMS Box

  (a) GEMS Box is a high performance cluster built with high performance servers, which can be installed

         with 128GB memory and 32 cores. GEMS Box can be 25 times faster than a regular PC. It can be easily         extended to 256GB memory and 64 cores. This is a universal hardware platform, which is allowed the          users to install any serial or parallel software from third party.

                GEMS box does not require any special maintainance from IT people. If something happens to          GEMS Box, the head node will recover the system automatically. If, in case, something happens to the          head node, what the users need to do is to inset the GEMS recover CD to the head node, the GEMS Box          will be recovered automatically.

 (b) GEMS license in the GEMS Box can be transferred to other platforms when you upgrade your hardware        platform.

GEMS Parallel Net

GEMS Parallel Net will connect the computers in your office or lab using a special network to form a powerful  PC based cluster. All the computers in your office are still in your local domain and function as a regular  computer in the day time. However, they work together as a cluster in the night, weekend, and holiday. There  are unique features for this type of cluster:

   (1) The cluster does not require extra space since we keep the computers where they are.

   (2) The cluster does not need extra power because the computers are as a cluster when the office is          closed

   (3) GEMS Parallel Net does not require install any hard drive in each computer, and even does not use any              hard disk space in each computer.

   (4) GEMS does not require accessing any data or files in each computer, so the computers in the cluster          are absolutely secure. When GEMS is running the computers do not have to unpluge the loacal network.

   (5) Parallel efficiency of GEMS Parallel Net is compatable to the high performance cluster.

   (6) GEMS Parallel Net allows the users to use all the computers in an office or only the specified          computers

   (7) For the multiple core computer, the owner can share all cores to the GEMS simulation or just part of the          cores to GEMS.
