Project Model

For an electrically large problem, GEMS offers an efficient way to display the problem model, however, the conformal mesh and material distribution generation usually requires multiple processors. Even a single computer is able to do it, but it cannot handle it in a reasonable time.

2.

Simulation Pre-processing

GEMS provides a simulation pre-processing model, which can be run in both Linux and Windows platforms. Since GEMS requires multiple processors to run a parallel code, so here we introduce the detailed procedure in which multiple processors are used to generate the conformal mesh and material distributions. Unlike the parallel solver, GEMS pre-processing model allows the user to divide the computational domain into a large number of subdomains that may be larger than the physical processors. Simulation

GEMS can use all the resource inside the GEMS box system for the problem simulation. The efficiency may vary depending on the processor distributions.  A general rule is to ensure a good load balance for all the processors inside the GEMS box. Actually, you can check the load balance through GEMS cluster management software. In contract to Graphical Processor Unit (GPU), GEMS Box can use all its 64 GB memory to solve a relatively large problem not only for the small problem acceleration.  For the detailed information please click on the right icon to view the visual demonstration.
